Common Ground Theatre (www.cgtheatre.com) is a performance and teaching space located in west Durham, offering performing arts and educational groups a flexible, well-equipped alternative space. The Theatre provides a convenient venue for Triangle audiences to experience the diversity of our area's arts and educational offerings. All events listed will be held at Common Ground Theatre. The Theatre is hosting the following events in January, 2013:

South Stream Productions Presents: Copenhagen by Michael Frayn
In 1941 German physicist Werner Heisenberg went to Copenhagen to see his friend and mentor, Danish physicist Niels Bohr. Together they had revolutionized atomic science in the 1920s, but now they were on opposite sides of a world war. In this incisive Tony Award-winning drama by the prominent British playwright Michael Frayn, the ghosts of the participants, or perhaps the ghosts of the questions they left behind, return to the events of 1941 to argue their meanings and to try to understand their own motives.

City Artistic Partnerships Presents: My Princess Bride; one man's take on "the classic tale of true love and high adventure."
conceived and performed by Joe Brack
This hit stage show is inspired by a fictitious abridgement and a cult classic film; Joe tells his own story through the lives of the much loved characters within this grand fairy tale. Come witness live giants, monsters, chases, fencing, fighting, torture, revenge...and miracles! He again teams up with director Matty Griffiths to bring to life his retelling, destined to be a classic all its own!
